As an infertile couple who have also worked for years as a psychiatrist and psychotherapist helping other infertile couples, we arrogantly thought we had either experienced or seen it all. She knows what to do next.” And, there you were with all your knowledge, experience, and compassion. There you were with vision, connections, and answers which renewed our hope and got us on the track to where we had been trying to go from the start. Mindy, you brought to us a healing and empowering combination of both gentleness and strength. With your ability to listen, to hear what’s being said and not said, you helped us with some crucial discernment. Then, from your now intimate understanding of our unique needs, you began to advocate for us, introducing us to the various other experts who could bring this dream into reality. When we’d get anxious, time and time again, you were there to listen and to supply or find the answers as if we were your only clients. More than once we stood back in smiling admiration as the owner of this soothing, healing voice would, when called for, take off the gloves and negotiate quite frankly and candidly with another party on our behalf. No one should underestimate you, Mindy. Passion is part of compassion and you use both in support of and in advocacy for your clients.
You have navigated sensitive and delicate issues for us with the finesse of a career diplomat. And, sometimes you have just been lovingly straightforward like a friend who cares enough to tell you what she knows you need to hear.
